The Little Seeds Blog
I hope you find my blog posts helpful as you prepare to welcome your baby into the world and navigate the wonderful, and sometimes overwhelming, journey into parenthood.
There is no shortage of information available to expectant parents today – from Google and social media to books, websites and AI. My aim isn’t to add to that noise by simply repeating what you can find elsewhere. Instead, I want to share things I have learned, witnessed and experienced over the past 38+ years as a midwife, and continue to be a part of within the NHS.
Over the years, I have worked within the maternity units at Peterborough City Hospital, Hinchingbrooke Hospital, Northampton General Hospital and Kettering General Hospital, as well as supporting families as a Community Midwife, including those choosing to birth their babies at home.
Every birth setting has its own unique considerations, and every pregnancy, birth and family is different. Through these blog posts, I hope to share practical advice, insights and reflections gathered thoughtfully from my own experience.
Above all, I hope my words help you feel informed, reassured and a little more confident as you prepare for your own journey into parenthood.
